Artkurio Consultancy was founded in 2016, by Burcu Yüksel.

Burcu is a London-based art consultant and dealer with a unique mix of expertise in old master paintings, contemporary art and performance.  Born and raised in Istanbul, Burcu has lived in multiple cities such as Boston, New York, Paris, and Florence and had a variety of work experiences in old masters and contemporary art worlds.

It is this unique passion to participate in and enjoy what seem to be two separate ends of the art world that distinguishes Artkurio Consultancy.  Benefiting from a wide network of art professionals and artists, AK Consultancy has the ability to tailor to and work around one’s different areas of interests and needs within the art world.

As a strong advocate for older material mixing in with the new, Burcu believes that adding artworks from different periods and media to a contemporary collection enhances it regardless of how modest or large that collection might be.  A bold contemporary work could hang beautifully next to a gothic fragment of a saint or a 17th century drawing.  AK Consultancy can help you to start looking and enjoying art from unexpected places.
